wonderful early oak coffer of pegged construction, the planked top with moulded edge and bearing date of 1615, working lock and key, candle box interior, carved frieze to the front and sides, standing on stile feet.
normal marks and the odd old repair as one would expect with an item of such immense age, all giving this super piece great history and character but overall this fabulous coffer is in good solid condition with a lovely colour and patina.
