a fine example of an early oak longcase clock by Geo Goodall, Abberford.
Geo Goodall was one of few clockmakers who numbered their work, this being no. 426 dates to circa 1780.
the hood with broken arch pediment, dentil moulding and tapering column supports, the arched door opening to brass face with moon phase, silvered dial, working date aperture and subsidiary seconds dial.
the case with mahogany crossbanded door and panel below, raised on bracket feet.
the eight day movement striking the hour on a bell.
